All Whites facing Australia on Sunday

From Morning Report, 8:37 am on 23 September 2022

One hundred years on from the first international football match between New Zealand and Australia, and more than a decade since their last encounter, two matches serve to break the dry spell between the trans-Tasman rivals.

The first of the matches was held in Brisbane last night, with Australia winning one-nil thanks to a wonder goal from Awer Mabil.

A second game will kick off at Eden Park on Sunday afternoon, the first home game for New Zealand in five years.

Former All White and current chair of the New Zealand Professional Footballers' Association Harry Ngata spoke to Susie Ferguson.
