The grit and unflinching determination of Ukrainian troops appears to be paying off, as they continue to push back Russian forces.
They've broken through Russia's frontline along the Oskil River which straddles the two countries.

That exposes a key supply route and the separatist Luhansk region, which the Kremlin has vowed to defend.
