A large slip in Woodhouse Avenue in Karori has blocked the road and left a house teetering on the edge.
Further south, two houses remain off limits as work begins today to clear a large slip that swept away a bank in central Wellington.
Most of the dozen households on The Terrace were cleared for residents to re-enter yesterday, 24 hours after the slip dumped 50 cubic metres of earth onto the street below.
However, long-time resident David McLean lives at one of the two most affected homes and has no idea when he'll be allowed back in.
