National Party leader Christopher Luxon has concluded his party's conference with a tried-and-true political tactic: a full-throated promise to get young beneficiaries off welfare and into work.
It was the first conference for Luxon since he took over as leader just eight months ago and he spent much of the weekend boosting his profile with members.
