An importer and distributor of plasterboard doubts whether extra supplies of the vital building product will be enough to meet demand.
An ongoing major shortage the product led to an assurance by the Building and Construction Minister Megan Woods this week that 100 containers, holding 220 thousand square metres - enough for 440 houses, will arrive in the next few weeks.
Elephant Plasterboard managing director Kevin Van Hest says the extra, when it arrives, will be nowhere near enough.
