A former South Taranaki mayor says its decision to fight all the way to the Supreme Court to fluoridate its water has been vindicated.
Director-General of Health Ashley Bloomfield yesterday directed 14 local authorities to add fluoride to some or all of their water.
Former mayor Ross Dunlop says his former council took a stand, and paid dearly, but it was the right thing to do.
