Plans to introduce more fresh air into Auckland's bus fleet to reduce the risk of Covid-19 transmission have been abandoned due to cost.
But levels of carbon dioxide on buses are up to seven times higher than the recommended safe level for indoor spaces, according to tests done by RNZ.
