There have been two fatal crashes in two days in Marlborough.
The first - a head-on collision - killed seven people on State Highway 1.
The second deadly crash happened just 30 kilometres away on State Highway 6 also involving a truck and a van.
The van driver was killed in the accident.
Waka Kotahi says in the last decade, excluding Sunday's tragedy, there have been five deaths and 21 serious injuries on State Highway 1 between Picton and Blenheim.
