Productivity commission looks into immigration settings

Everybody agrees that immigration is needed to address the current skills shortage - but nobody in politics seems to want to spell out their plan for improving the situation.

So says the Productivity Commission, which today released the findings of its inquiry into what it says are currently New Zealand's rather fuzzy immigration settings.

The report offers twenty-four ideas for improvement.
