Newly-released documents show the LynnMall knife attacker Ahamed Samsudeen was assaulted twice in prison.
They also show he was blamed for starting a third fight.
The 32-year-old was shot dead by armed police after a frenzied attack in a supermarket last September, in which he injured eight people.
Officers had been surveilling him round-the-clock as a terrorist threat.
