From Morning Report, 6:08 am on 20 May 2022

People have been quick to deliver their verdict on Grant Robertson's fourth wellbeing Budget.

He's splashing he cash - including a record investment in health of $11.1 billion dollars.

In a matter of months around $2.1 million New Zealanders will be getting some extra money in the back pocket.

A payment of $350, available from August and dolled out once a month for three months is aimed at lightening the inflation-load.

It comes at a cost of almost a billion dollars.

The government is also extending its half price public transport for two more months, along with the discount on petrol and road user charges.
