Councils in NZ have a diversity problem - Local Govt NZ

Local Government New Zealand says councils in this country have a diversity problem.

Women make up just 40 per cent of elected councillors, multi-ethnic and Pacific communities are underrepresented, and the average age is approaching 60.

Local Government New Zealand chief executive Susan Freeman-Greene spoke to Susie Ferguson.
