Chief censor leaving the role today

New Zealand's chief censor, David Shanks, is stepping down from the job today after five years.

It's a confronting job for anyone, and he's likely to be remembered as the man who banned the video of the Christchurch mosque attacks in 2019, shot by the killer.

Shanks spoke to Susie Ferguson.
