The sea level is rising twice as fast as previously thought in many parts of New Zealand.
The new data comes from NZ SeaRise, a progamme made up dozens of local and international scientists - and their projections have alarm bells ringing.
Programme co-leader Tim Naish told Corin Dann there could be more than a metre of sea level rise by the end of the century.
