Dunedin residents have turned out for a vigil to shine a spotlight on the plight of those in war-ravaged Ukraine.
The gathering in The Octagon last night was led by a Dunedin resident and Ukrainian expatriate, Olha Viazenko.
She estimates that so far during the war 170,000 Ukrainians have been taken to Russia against their will.
Viazenko spoke to Corin Dann.
