The latest inflation figures will be released later this morning, and it's widely expected to have hit a 30-year high of as much as 7.4 percent.
Corin Dann spoke to ANZ economist Finn Robinson, who said while this is likely to be the peak, high rates of inflation will be around for at least another year.
