Latest figures show there has been a decline in cancer diagnoses and treatments thanks to the Omicron outbreak.
Data from Te Aho o Te Kahu, the Cancer Control Agency, indicates overall diagnoses fell by 2 percent.
Meanwhile prostate, lung and colorectal cancer surgeries dropped by 9 percent across January and February, compared with the same time in the previous year.
