Baby boomers set to exit trades industry

While there might be a boom of people training to join the trades sector, the Master Electricians boss is concerned there might be a boom of people exiting soon too...baby boomers to be specific. Apprenticeship numbers have increased by thousands in house-building industries. Master Electricians chief executive Bernie McLaughlin says his industry will need apprentice numbers to triple if it's going to make up for the number of people who'll retire over the next decade.
