Ukraine is pleading for the west to give them more weapons ahead of an expected push by Russia in the east of their country in the Dombask region.
Ukraine's foreign minister, Dmytro Kuleba made the urgent and emotional appeal after meeting with NATO allies in Brussels.
He says without more weapons many many more people will die.
NATO responded to the emotional appeal by saying countries are ready to provide more military support in Ukraine.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says a new NATO strategic concept is in the works, which will be released in June. He says the alliance is more united than ever.
Ukraine wants sanctions against Russia to be "ruinous" enough to end the war.
