Civilians fled Mariupol, but many remain trapped - Red Cross

That's the warning to civilians in eastern Ukraine, amid fears Russia will intensify attacks there and cut off vital escape routes.

Russia has said it's shifting its military focus to Donbas, which comprises both the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. At least five people have reportedly been killed by shelling overnight in Donetsk.

Ukraine is hoping to establish 11 humanitarian corridors out of besieged cities, but authorities are warning civilians to leave while it's safe, or else they'll be left on their own.
