More and more Aucklanders are heading out of town for good.
According to the latest data, 25,000 of them have quit the City of Sails over the past two years in search of a different life elsewhere in New Zealand.
Massey University emeritus professor Paul Spoonley says Covid-19 is probably a big part of the trend, but so is the costs of housing and possibly one or two other factors as well.
