A survivor of the March 15 mosque attacks is on the last stage of a walk to reclaim peace from a terrorist whose actions put him in hospital with nine bullets.
To mark the three year anniversary, Temel Atacocugu started walking from Dunedin's Octagon on the first of March, and after 360-kilometres will end at Al Noor mosque, in Christchurch, on Tuesday.
His final stretch started around 7.30am south-west of the city, near the Selwyn District Council offices.
He spoke to Corin Dann.
