Netball's domestic competition has opened with a major upset after last year's defending champions - the Auckland-based Northern Mystics - went down to the 2021's least successful team, the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic.
While that was a tight, three-goal affair Hamilton, the other ANZ Premiership match was a blowout - with Southern Steel thumping the Mainland Tactix in a South Island derby in Christchurch.
