The head of RNZ is backing the merger with TVNZ, saying he is pleased there is now certainty.
On Thursday the Government announced TVNZ and RNZ would be fused into a new not-for-profit organisation with a charter by July 2023.
Existing media channels will continue - including RNZ Concert - but little detail remains about whether programmes will be simulcast.
