A significant new trade agreement has been signed between New Zealand and the United Kingdom. It ends tariffs on 99.5 percent of all New Zealand goods entering the UK.
The government estimates it will increase exports to the UK by 50 percent, and boost the value of goods produced in our country by between $700 million and $1 billion dollars, as well as saving our exporters millions.
Minister for Trade Damien O'Connor signed the deal in London, he says the one billion dollar boost will be at the low end of the spectrum.
He told Susie Ferguson the UK have committed the deal being underway by the end of the year.
