The New Zealand Medical Association has issued a Red Letter to its members, warning already-stretched GPs that they are not compelled to provide care for people in the community with Covid-19.
Under the Government framework, local health providers are tasked with managing and supporting Covid-19 patients and their whānau.
The Association says GPs shouldn't feel compelled to do so if they don't have the staff and resources Medical Associaiton chair Alistair Humphrey spoke to Corin Dann.
