An Australian epidemiologist is warning New Zealand's Omicron approach is overcautious and the timeline is stretched.
Professor Tony Blakely from the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health says our risk averse response has helped in the past, but being too careful means the outbreak could last for longer, as will the restrictions that go with it.
