The government's plan to re-open the border allowing people to bypass what the Prime Minister is describing as the anguish of MIQ is being shot down by the opposition as both too slow and too fast.
The plan will see border restrictions relax in stages - returning New Zealanders the first to ditch MIQ for self-isolation - as Omicron cases in the community escalate.
