The National Party says it's no wonder many in the health workforce are burnt out with most District Health Boards missing the agreed deadline to improve safe staffing levels.
In 2018 the DHBs settled on a collective agreement for Nurses, Midwives and healthcare assistants to ensure there are enough staff on shift.
All but one DHB missed the mid-2021 programme cut-off.
Meanwhile, the union representing senior doctors says there is growing anxiety about omicron among hospital staff.
