A father-and-daughter duo have dared to go where few New Zealanders have before - flying the length of the country in a glider.
Taking advantage of yesterday's high winds, Terry Delore (De-lore), a world record-holder and his daughter Abbey, flew 16-hundred kilometres from Omarama to Auckland.
The flight took over 14 hours non-stop.
They didn't quite manage the entire journey from the bottom to the top of the country - but their achievement may still put them near the top of the leaderboard.
Red Cat Biplane Flights chief pilot Chris Rudge tracked the flight from start to finish.
