Whanganui is on high alert after the appearance of its first Covid-19 case from the Delta outbreak.
Two locations of interest have been identified so far - the public toilets at Kai Iwi Beach on Tuesday, and the Polson St Foodmarket on Friday.
Health authorities says the person is well and self-isolating at a supervised isolation unit.
They'd recently travelled outside the region.
