Hundreds of millions of dollars are being poured into boosting hospital intensive care as the country loosens restrictions and braces for life with Covid-19.
About $100 million will be used to increased capacity by doing things like converting unused wards.
More than $500 million will be for ongoing costs such as staffing.
The number of Covid-19 patients in ICU so far has been lower than expected but doctors and nurses are worried there are not enough beds or staff.
