In just three days Aucklanders go red as the Covid-19 traffic light system comes into force bringing with it the long awaited freedoms like going to a bar, a restaurant or a movie.
The city went into lockdown more than three months ago as it battled the Delta outbreak which appears to have now peaked.
With high vaccination rates it's getting a taste of what other parts of the country have long enjoyed under the alert level system.
