Anglican Archbishop on historical abuse in church organisations

From Morning Report, 8:43 am on 25 November 2021

New Zealand's Anglican archbishop, Philip Richardson, says he "had no idea" of the extent of historical abuse within Anglican-related organisations.

As has been reported, the police are investigating allegations of historical abuse at St Peter's School in Cambridge.

The school says 19 boys suffered sexual, physical or emotional abuse between 1936 and 1981, in cases involving eight staff.

The Archbishop says he was shocked by the revelation.

He spoke to Corin Dann.
