Police get called to at least one disruptive incident a day at MIQ hotels.
Since January, there have been 259 calls for help relating to drunk and abusive guests, domestic abuse and self harm, leading to four arrests.
But changes to the MIQ system are coming and New Zealand is moving to a traffic light system.
