A Commerce Commission investigation into the high cost of building supplies is getting the thumbs up from home buyers.
But many in the building industry are sceptical it'll make any difference.
The Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, David Clark, announced the review saying it's clear building supplies make a significant chunk of housing costs.
