Ride sharing company Uber is under fire after claims it avoided millions of dollars in tax last year.

A new report by the Centre for International Corporate Tax Accountability and Research, and New Zealand unions, estimates Uber dodged up to $12.8 million dollars in corporate tax in its New Zealand operations.

It's believed the tech-giant used a network of 50 Dutch shell companies and tax havens around the world.
