Covid-19: Auckland primary schools taking different approaches to bringing kids back

Nobody's expecting business as usual when primary-aged students in Auckland start to head back to class from today.

Schools in level three must keep children in separate, stable groups that don't mingle and use physical distancing where they can, and children in year four and above must wear masks.

It's up to each school to decide - within these guidelines - the best way to keep children and staff safe.

Finlayson Park School principal Shirley Maihi and Randwick Park School principal Karen McMurray are both in Manurewa, but are taking different approaches.

They spoke to Susie Ferguson.
