Gary Stead on T20 World Cup final performance

From Morning Report, 7:34 am on 15 November 2021

Well it wasn't the fairytale ending we were hoping for in the T20 Cricket World Cup final, with Australia beating New Zealand by 8 wickets to win the championship in Dubai this morning.

The Black Caps lost the toss and were put in to bat first, posting a record total of 172 -- thanks to captain Kane Williamson's clinical 85 run-haul off 48 balls.

But Australia chased down that target with seven balls to spare, to take the T20 crown for the first time.

Black Caps coach Gary Stead spoke to Corin Dann.
