Organisers of large events are welcoming a government scheme that would cover 90 percent of unrecoverable costs for big-ticket festivals, if they have to be cancelled or postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Economic and Regional Development Minister Stuart Nash announced the Events Transition Support Scheme yesterday, saying the organisers of large festivals deserve the public backing for the service they provide.
