COP26: Obama says countries failed to follow action plans

It's crunch time for the COP26 climate conference, as nations hammer out final negotiations this week.

So far there have been some breakthroughs, but some experts are concerned they won't even get the world closer to limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius.

Former US president Barack Obama told the conference most countries have failed to meet action plans, and the consequences are clear.

The first COP meeting was held in Germany in 1995, and arguably not much as changed in over two decades.

So will it be a week of action, or apathy?
