Suspected spies not able to see court documents

A husband-and-wife pair of suspected spies are not allowed to see the evidence they would need to look at in order to appeal an immigration decision made against them.

The decision turned on the SIS having told Immigration NZ that the pair had "almost certainly" assisted the People's Republic of China Intelligence Services.

Matt Robson, an immigration lawyer and former parliamentarian who served as corrections minister under Helen Clark, has been following the case with some disquiet.
