NZ hasn't signed methane cutting pledge yet, but Minister planning to confirm today

New Zealand hasn't yet signed a global initiative announced overnight to cut emissions of the greenhouse gas methane by 2030.

More than 80 countries have already reportedly signed up to the partnership.

A spokesperson for New Zealand Climate Change minister James Shaw said New Zealand plans to confirm this morning that it will join the pledge.

New Zealand Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Research Centre director Dr Harry Clark spoke to Corin Dann.
