Covid-19: MIQ changes won't make much difference to Kiwis overseas without bookings - Grounded Kiwis

An advocacy group for Kiwis stuck overseas says changes to managed isolation stays will benefit those with existing bookings, but not those without one.

From 15 November most international travellers will be required to stay in MIQ facilities for seven days, rather than the currently mandated fourteen.

But that may not mean double the number of New Zealanders being able to come home because many of those spots will be taken up by Covid-postive community cases.

Grounded Kiwis organiser Alexandra Birt spoke to Susie Ferguson.
