Covid-19: Christchurch case results came through overnight, Covid Tracer use low - Hipkins

From Morning Report, 7:08 am on 28 October 2021

The Ministry of Health has announced two positive Covid-19 cases in Christchurch. The two people are from the same household, with one of them recently returning to Christchurch from Auckland.

According to Canterbury DHB figures, eighty nine percent of people have received their first dose, while sixty eight per cent are fully vaccinated.

Covid-19 response minister Chris Hipkins told Morning Report the positive results came through last night, and they're still trying to determine what the risk to those in the city is - though their use of QR scanning has been low.
