The Leader of the Opposition wants the vaccine mandates to be dropped once the country has got to the 90 percent vaccination target.
The government announced yesterday vaccinations will be compulsory for people working in hospitality, events, gyms and salons - any place that needs a vaccine certificate to enter.
National Party leader Judith Collins told Morning Report once the 90 percent level is reached it is time to get back to some sort of normal.
"We believe that 90 percent double vaccinated is going to be something where people should be able to have some of their freedoms back."
Collins denied suggestions from commenters her comments around vaccination over the last few days had been reaching out anti-vaxxers.
"I saw that commentator making that assertion, which I thought was a very long bow to draw.
"It was actually about saying that if you believe in private property rights, you believe in personal responsibility, the best way to get more people to be vaccinated is not to be seen to bully them."
