The Acting Chief executive of ACC says he's deeply disappointed some call centre staff shared, and laughed at, people's injuries in a private Snapchat group.
One of the posts shared among more than a dozen employees included the name and contact details of an athlete who has represented New Zealand on the world stage.
One of the group's members told RNZ this behaviour is widespread at the call centre they work at.
ACC's acting CEO Mike Tully has told reporter Anusha Bradley that 12 staff have been stood down while the agency investigates, and the athlete has been told of the privacy breach.
