Hospitality New Zealand is "warily" pleased with the government's vaccine edict, which it says will bring greater protection and clarity to a sector in rather dire need of both.
But the association also worries it will cause new stresses, not least at a time when the industry is struggling with a general labour shortage.
It also worries about legal issues getting added to the current mix.
