From Morning Report, 7:09 am on 26 October 2021

Across Auckland this morning, almost 60,000 students are heading back through the school gates to classrooms for the first time in ten weeks.

Students from years 11, 12 and 13 are allowed back - younger students are still learning from home.

Students and staff must wear face masks and staff must have returned a negative Covid-19 test.

Onehunga High School principal Deidre Shea, and Manurewa's James Cook High School principal Grant McMillan spoke to Susie Ferguson.
