Public health experts want an urgent review of the strategy to tackle Covid-19.
They're calling for increased routine screening, mandatory vaccination for more groups of workers, an upgraded alert level system, strengthened regional boundaries and more help for marginalised communities.
The group says successful control of Covid-19 in New Zealand, depends on successful control in Auckland.
